New Site Pops Up
Another Varien client is now live with a feature previously seen only on incredibly high-end sites such as Amazon. Popcornopolis came to Varien for a new backend and frontend for their site and also asked us to create a new feature that allows one order to be split among multiple addresses. This feature makes gift-giving incredibly easy, eliminating the need to place different orders to send popcorn to different family members and friends. We’ll talk more about the multiple shipping feature in the next post.
Popcornopolis kept the design of their site the same, but had Varien rework the ecommerce engine. We integrated the site with FedEx, allowing the Popcornopolis team to view tracking numbers from within the administration panel. Customers can view their previous orders from within their account, along with managing an address book that allows customers to maintain an unlimited number of addresses that they can send orders to. The site also supports subscription packages, allowing customers to receive a different flavor every month for 3, 6 or 12 months. Sign up now and enjoy July’s flavor, White Chocolate Caramel.
The Popcornopolis site was developed with the tenets of usability, reliability and security. With the Varien ecommerce platform running the site we know Popcornopolis will continue to grow and provide customers with delicious popcorn. Check out the site, especially my personal favorite, the Zebra Chocolate Popcorn tin.
