Call-to-Action – Callout/Promotion Graphic Gallery from Leading eCommerce Sites
They range from the clean (dell.com, WilsonsLeather.com) to the confusing (Sears.com) to the complete over the top (Tigerdirect.com – notice the liberal use of ‘blowout’), promotional callouts are an important part of a visual design. The worst is Zappos (the last one) - seems very outdated.
I like the banners that have a clear call-to-action. A good example is CircuitCity.com and BabyUniverse.com which use “shop now”.
Apple.com and JCPenny.com are probably the worst. Who’s going to read all that text - way too much!

I have to say the circuit city ad. The word was call now instead of now and some how I was drawn to the area (maybe it is because their is less clutter than the other ads)
Normally I do not click ads specifically because I know thy are ads. Awesome post by the way.
