Cyber Monday Recap: Record Sales and Outages
A quick recap of the much discussed Cyber Monday:
- According to comScore,
“Cyber Monday saw $733 million in online spending, representing a 21-percent increase versus last year…”
- Yahoo Merchant Solutions’ Stores went down under the strain, leaving many small-business owners high and dry on the record day, according to the New York Times blog Bits and TechCrunch, who also noted that Sears.com went down.
- And CNN notes that High iPod demand yesterday drove Apple’s stock up, but other tech stocks didn’t fare as well.
