How Things Work: Google Checkout Screencast
You’ve heard the hype, now we’ll show you how Google Checkout works from a customer’s perspective. This screencast shows the process of purchasing products from Buy.com using Google Checkout. The process is that of a first-time user, so it includes adding credit card information to a Google account, but even with this step the process doesn’t take long. Update: I forgot to mention the great $10 discount we got on the order which you will notice at the end of the video.
We have edited the screencast, taking out names and credit card information for the obvious reasons. We also shortened up some loading times. I’m not sure if it is from Google or Buy.com’s end, but the transfer between the two sites took a few seconds longer than would be ideal.
Varien has started the integration process with one of our clients and reducing the transfer time between sites is one of our goals. We see Google Checkout as being a big part of the ecommerce world in the future. We’ll let you know here when we’ve completed the integration, so check back often. Without further ado, here is the Google Checkout screencast.

I am bullish on Google Checkout too. Although I am not yet giving up on Paypal, I like the credit that you mention plus the credit to customers who use Adwords as I do.
Google can only go in one direction with Checkout: up!

The integration with Adwords is definitely the main selling point for online retailers. Most are already Adwords customers, so the integration between the advertising and payment system really helps retailers cut down on costs and attract new business.

Did anyone see that Google Checkout is now processing payments for free until 2008? Think of the savings!
I am using Checkout more than Paypal now and stand save $300-$1000 on charges for 2007!
